I didn’t realise I was doing this ... but I’ve created a manifesto for architects and digital adoption.

ADDDitive: Transforming Practice: Tools, Strategies, and Insights for the Digital Architect.

In partnership with

Welcome to ADDDitive!

👋 Hi there,

This month’s issue is all about connection (again); connecting people, data, tools, and ideas shaping the next generation of AEC practice.

Across the industry, I’m seeing a clear shift: architects and engineers are no longer waiting for technology companies to define the future, they’re building it themselves.

In this edition, I’ve rounded up what’s driving that change:

1️⃣ SpeckleCon London – the unmissable event redefining AEC data workflows (and yes, I’ve got you 10% off).
2️⃣ The 2026 AI Tech Stack for Architects – my pick of low-cost, cloud-based tools to replace Adobe, Autodesk, and SketchUp.
3️⃣ The Connected Practice Manifesto – how open, interoperable workflows are reshaping how small practices design and collaborate.
4️⃣ The ADDD ConTech Database – 1,600+ AEC software tools, now searchable and free to access.
5️⃣ AEC Tech Jobs – why the next big innovations in construction won’t come from tech companies, but from you.

Whether you’re rethinking your workflow, exploring AI-powered tools, or curious about ConTech careers, this issue is packed with insights and resources to help you stay ahead of the curve.

Let’s get into it 👇

  • All in just 3 minutes a day

1. Want to know about AEC workflows? Come to the SpeckleCon Event!

SpeckleCon is where the brightest minds in architecture, engineering, construction, and design gather to shape how AEC uses its data. Hosted in London on November 7th, this flagship event highlights how Speckle is transforming AEC workflows through real-world success stories from industry leaders like Gensler, Multiconsult, Stantec, and Haskoning. Join the event here to explore cutting-edge applications of machine learning, data pipelines, and performance-driven design to unlock the full potential of BIM data.

2. Thinking of starting an architecture practice in 2026? Worried about software costs?

Thinking of starting your own architecture practice in 2026? Worried about software costs and feeling trapped by legacy tools like Adobe, Autodesk, and SketchUp?

You’re not alone. Most architects struggle to keep up with the hundreds of new tools launching every year and it’s literally my full-time job to track them.

A single small practice can end up juggling multiple outdated and expensive apps that don’t talk to each other. The good news? There’s a better, cloud-based, affordable, and collaborative way forward.

What This Stack Offers

A modern workflow for architects who want:

-Cloud-based flexibility

-SaaS affordability (pay monthly, cancel anytime)

-Freedom from legacy systems

It covers the full project lifecycle:
Site Survey → 3D Design → AI Rendering → Sustainability Assessment → Presentation → 2D CAD → Data + Interoperability → Issuing → Reporting → AI → Specification.

This isn’t about using every app at once — it’s about knowing which combinations deliver real value.

Thinking about making the same leap?

Why Listen to Me

-I’ve built the world’s largest AEC software database (1,600+ tools): https://contechdatabase.softr.app/

-I perform Technology Strategies for Architects, mapping out their current “as-is” state.

-I design custom digital workflows that save time, money, and frustration.

🧰 The 2026 AI Tech Stack for Architects

  1. MadVoxel AG (MAVO 3D) – Transforms your iPhone/iPad into a professional-grade 3D scanner.

  2. Giraffe Technology – Unified mapping, modelling, and analytics; turns weeks of work into hours.

  3. Fenestra – AI rendering in seconds; from model to image in moments.

  4. Preoptima Pacer – Whole-life carbon analysis and compliance made digital.

  5. Rayon.design – The fastest browser-based tool for producing architectural drawings.

  6. Speckle – The collaborative data hub connecting your favourite AEC tools.

  7. Systemais Share&Log – Simple, lightweight file sharing and issue tracking for architects and engineers.

  8. Canva – For design, visuals, and presentations — easy, flexible, and fast.

  9. Omni Accelerator / OmniChat.uk – LLM tooling and AI workflow automation for AEC teams.

  10. Stylib – Digital product library for managing and showcasing supplier materials.

3. The Connected Practice Manifesto

A new mindset for architects in the digital era.

I didn’t realise I was doing this … but somewhere between mapping workflows and testing new tools, I created a manifesto for architects and digital adoption. As I’ve been connecting next-generation platforms it became clear that this isn’t just a software stack.

It’s a shift in mindset.

💡 The Connected Practice Manifesto

A call for architects to embrace open, cloud-based workflows: flexible, collaborative, and designed for the next era of practice.

Architects today have an unprecedented opportunity to design with freedom.

The era of being locked into a single software ecosystem is over.
The rise of SaaS and cloud-based tools means we can move seamlessly between applications, choosing the right one for each stage of design.

-Flexibility has replaced dependency.

-Collaboration has replaced isolation.

Legacy systems, closed, proprietary, and hard to integrate, are becoming redundant.
In their place, a new era of open, web-based workflows is emerging: faster, more collaborative, and more expressive.

This is the future of architectural practice; fluid, interoperable, and driven by innovation.

The diagram below shows how these tools connect into a single ecosystem —
not to replace design thinking, but to amplify it.

4. Access my ConTech Database

I have been collecting new software into a database which I have always wanted to enable access for architects, engineers and construction professionals to search and find the right solutions for them. I have now built front end for this and you can access this below! Access the World’s Largest AEC ConTech Software Database - ADDD

This structured database of 1,600+ AEC & ConTech solutions is searchable by:
🔎 Tag
🔎 Category
🔎 Keyword

Each entry includes:
✔️ Software name
✔️ Intro text
✔️ Website link
✔️ Careers page (if available)
✔️ Company logo and product images

Whether you’re an architect, AEC consultant, or startup, you can finally cut through the noise and find the tools that actually fit. It will save you so much time.

“I have decided to make this free to access! Try it out here and let me know your thoughts.”

5. The Next Big Innovations in Construction Won’t Come from Tech Companies

They’ll come from you.

When I first started exploring how people were finding jobs in construction technology, I realised something strange; there wasn’t a single place to find them.

-Architects and BIM Leads wanted to move into ConTech.

-Engineers were learning computational design and AI.

-Their AEC skills were perfect for startups.

But those roles were scattered across LinkedIn posts and obscure careers pages, almost invisible to the people best suited for them. Finding a ConTech job felt like detective work (or just pure luck).

That’s when it clicked for Stefanie, Bhragan, and I: if we wanted more people to join the future of construction, we needed to make those opportunities visible.

So we built AEC Tech Jobs, the first dedicated job board for ConTech and AEC innovation.

What’s Happened Since

-500+ live roles at any one time, across the AEC technology ecosystem

-Dozens of startups hiring, from AI to automation

-Every job focused on the intersection of design, data, and technology

If you’ve been curious about stepping into ConTech, don’t start from scratch.
